Devils Elbow River Safari sits on the banks of the Osage River in the heart of Missouri's forested hills. We are a place for anglers seeking the perfect run-and-gun trip, families wanting a cabin with a view, and anyone who needs to hear the water instead of the highway.
Whether you arrive by boat, kayak, or car, our riverside cabins and lodge provide a comfortable basecamp for exploring one of the state's most celebrated waterways. No TVs. No rush. Just the river, the trees, and the space to breathe.
Each cabin and room is positioned for river views, private deck access, and the sounds of water moving over stone.

Take to the water on your own terms. We provide well-maintained kayaks and canoes, plus maps of the best private access points along our stretch of river.
Forty acres of mixed hardwood and pine. Marked trails wind past wild turkey roosts, deer beds, and overlooks that drop straight down to the river.
Stone fire pits are ready at every cabin. Bring your own wood or grab some from the lodge. The river sounds make for the best soundtrack you'll ever hear.

Family operated for generations
Devils Elbow is named for a sharp, treacherous bend in the Osage River that once made navigation impossible for early settlers and steamboat captains. Today, that same bend offers some of the best fishing and most secluded camping on the entire river.
Our family has hosted river travelers here for decades — first as a simple campsite, then as a modest lodge, and now as a collection of cabins and guided trips built around one principle: the river comes first.
We don't advertise on national booking platforms. Word of mouth, returning guests, and a handful of fishing guides who know the area are how we've stayed open this long. If you're looking for a resort with a pool and a restaurant, this isn't it. If you're looking for a place where the river is yours to discover, pull up a chair.

A few snapshots from the river, the cabins, and the trails — what you can expect when you visit.
We came for the fishing and stayed for the quiet. Three days here reset something in us we didn't know was frayed. The cabin had everything we needed and the river was right outside the door.
